Freshly Clipped Yew Topiary

On an evening, autumnal walk around Cheltenham this week, I spotted that the yew topiary on the entrance to Sandford park (from Bath Rd) has been freshly clipped and is looking very tidy. With the fountains running, it is clear the intentions that the designer in the late 1920s/early 30s had. The topiary columns (with conical tops) boldly framy the piece of sculpture at the end as the focal piece very well, and the noise and visual appeal of the fountains and rippling water efficiently leads the eye in the right direction.
