National Memorial Arboretum: Stair Details

On a trip at the start of term to the National Memorial Arboretum designed by Fira, I took some images of interesting details on the site. Some of those are the stair details below. 

The top detail shows how a set of steps up to a central memorial were detailed at thier edge. This is edge is level witht he lower corner of each step riser, meaning when the sun hits these limestone steps it created this beautiful shadow on the edge stones.

These steps lead onto those pictured above, and are interesting due to the undercut in the main parts of the steps. This creates interesting shadows and could easily be fitted wiht LED underlights to create some pleasant evening lighting depending on the project.
