Project Overview: Delos @ Sissinghurst

A project which caught my interest recently was the Delos project by Dan Pearson Studio at Sissinghurst. This project was to create what the garden at the site could have been if the historical owners of the property were successful in their dreams. This was to create a Mediterranean garden which was drought tolerant.

The materiality of this landscape is weathered boulders, gravel, and tumbled stone. The planting is very much a Mediterranean drought tolerant palette, with the euphorbias and grasses catching my eye the most. This garden really captivates me when in contrast with the historic red brick property in the backdrop. Large deciduous trees encapsulate the garden.
